Lincoln Academy recommended for National Quality in Careers Standard Award– Career Mark
On the final day of Module 2, when everyone was winding down for the Christmas break, Lincoln Academy learners and staff underwent an assessment of their careers education and guidance programme. The Academy is delighted to have passed the assessment and has been recommended for the National Quality in Careers Standard Award – Career Mark. The Assessor commented that “The learners were all enthusiastic and are obviously receiving a varied careers programme”.
Over the past year, Tracey Taylor the Academy Careers Leader and Emma Jorden, Assistant Headteacher have improved and developed the careers programme at the Academy to ensure that it meets the needs of all learners. They have found the Career Mark assessment process invaluable as the structured framework requires a whole school approach and, most importantly, positive learner outcomes are essential to achieve the award.
