2014-2016 Career Ready Students
Our 2014-2016 1st Year Career Ready students will carry out an internship with a local employer during the summer break. Employers offering our students internships include Ample Finance, Barclays Bank, Lace Housing, Lindum, Software Europe, Langleys Solicitors, LAGAT and the Lincolnshire Co-operative Pharmacy Group.
Career Academies UK rebranded to Career Ready on 1st June 2015, the programme for this year remains unchanged but new initiatives are being introduced for our September 2015 cohort of Career Academy students.
The Sixth Form Team have supported our Year 13 students to secure positive destinations for September 2015. Fifty per cent of our students applied to university and have all received conditional offers and, in some cases, unconditional offers. The remaining students have accessed opportunities to support them to apply for a job with training or an apprenticeship. Together with Personal Development sessions on CV writing and applying for opportunities, students have also met with a local Training Provider for a mock interview and attended an Apprenticeship Fair held at Branston Community Academy. Two of our Career Academy students have already started working for their new employers – Rosie Marshall as a Business Administration Trainee at Lindum and Loren Marshall as a Teaching Assistant at St Christopher’s School.
